Trust Registration Process in Delhi & Other cities in India
The trust registration process for a trust in India involves the following steps:

Choosing a Trust Name: Choose a Trust name that is unique and not similar to any existing trust or company. Names should not include any words that are prohibited under Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950.

Selecting Trustees and Settlor: To form a Trust in India, there should be at least Two persons who are called Trustees and also who should be Indian citizens and over the age of 18. The trustees must have a sound mind and should not have been convicted of any criminal offense.

Drafting of the Trust Deed: Trust deed is an important document that has the objectives to be carried by Trust, their beneficiaries, its trustees, and other important details of the trust.

Payment of Registration fee and Stamp Duty: Registration fees is to be paid to respective department and that depend upon State to state. In New Delhi court registration fees of trust is Rs.1100/-. The trust deed must also be stamped with the appropriate stamp duty, which varies from contribution by Trustee.

Filing the Application: The application must be submitted to the Registrar of Trusts along with the necessary documents, such as the trust deed, address proof, PAN and TAN, and affidavit and take online appointment for physical appearance and verification of documents.
Verification and Registration: The Registrar of Trusts will verify the application and documents and Trustee on given date and if everything is in order, the trust will be registered and a certificate of registration will be issued.
